Understanding the SQE Pathway
As a trainee, you will rotate through key departments, developing practical legal skills and gaining a well-rounded understanding of how a leading law firms operates. Alongside your day-to-day work, you will receive structured preparation and internal support to help you succeed in both stage of the SQE.
The SQE consists of two parts:
SQE1: Assessing functional legal knowledge through single best answer multiple-choice exams
SQE2: Assessing practical legal skills and the application of legal knowledge
To qualify as a solicitor, candidates must:
Hold a degree in any subject (or equivalent qualification or relevant work experience)
Pass both SQE1 and SQE2 assessments
Complete two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE)
Meet the SRA's character and suitability requirements
How to apply
Minimum requirements
A 2:1 degree in any subject (or equivalent qualification/experience)
Three A Levels at grade B or above (or equivalent)
Applicants with mitigating circumstances will still be considered
